I was born on the plains of Alabama in a small city called Auburn and was raised by a loving family, in a loving home with both my parents and my grandparents instilling strong values and morals that shaped me throughout my years. I have a wonderful brother and sister-in-law and the cutest niece you've ever seen. I cherish my family with everything I hold dear. They have been with me through good and bad and the important thing is they have always been supportive. I haven't always lived in Alabama and have had the great privilege of being a part of different communities in other states; Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kansas, and Colorado. Moving so much as a child wasn't easy at times but, now looking back on it, I wouldn't change it for the world. I learned valuable lessons growing up in the diversity of this nation. Even in the states closest to us there was a difference in how we see the world and that is an aspect of this country that needs to be celebrated. There is a harmony to all of us, working together as one, even though our perspectives are just a little different from our neighbors.

I moved back to Birmingham in 1995. My grandfather, who was a Colonel in the Air Force and I admired greatly, passed away and my grandmother needed assistance. My grandmother was an amazing woman who was a proud Republican and served as President of the Republican Women of the South during the 1980's and was also a delegate to the Republican convention in 1988. She had the honor of meeting both Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush in her capacity as the President of the Republican Women. She was the most genuinely nice person anyone could have ever met. It was a great honor to live with her while I went to school. After school I entered the business world managing start up companies until the collapse of the economy in 2008. From there I experienced the humbling position of having to find a job and did so by bussing tables. It was here that I learned my respect for the working men and women of this country. Not all jobs are glamorous but all jobs need to be done. If you work hard and have the drive you can succeed. I worked my way from bussing tables to managing the restaurant. Shortly after, I started business consulting and I have been doing that passionately ever since. I work day end and day out with the people who run the backbone of our country. I work beside them daily to help their businesses grow and be successful. I see the passion they put into their lives to provide the products and services we all want and the work they do to provide the love and security for their families. These are the people of Alabama. These are the people of America whose voices haven't been heard or represented. I love my community and I love the people I interact with on a daily basis. Whether it's work, volunteering, or at my church I see the passion everyone has for this state and country. It's time for that passion to be felt in Washington D.C again. It's time for the voices of all the people be heard again.

Contract of Public Service,

for the seat of United States Senate from the

State of Alabama

I, Bryan Lane Peeples, herby present to you, the citizens of the State of Alabama, a contract of public service to be beholden to, for the office of the United States Senate. I promise to uphold the duties, and the commitment to be the voice of those who elected me and fight daily for all who reside in the great State of Alabama; to be a resoundingly honest presence in the hall of the United States Senate and represent our state with the upmost pride and conviction.

As your Senator I promise to uphold and abide by the following:

  • I promise to cherish and uphold the values our forefathers set in place in the Bill of Rights. I will never vote for any legislation that would remove or hinder the rights guaranteed to us or the protections given by the Constitution of the United States of America. I will fight for the morals and values this state and country hold dear. The United States of America is the greatest country that has ever existed which has provided a foundation for generations to be prosperous and grow. It has become a shining beacon in the world for all those who seek freedom. We have had our struggles and bruises over time, but we always find a way to come together, become better and stronger, and set an example for the rest of the world. This state and nation are rich in many cultures, blended together shaping our very identities with each generation. I promise to always ensure that all voices are heard and understood.

  • I will not cast a vote on any form of legislation unless the bill has been fully read and vetted. It is within the best interest of not only the citizens of Alabama, but, all those of this country, that we commit fully to only pass legislation that champions the growth and prosperity of all its citizens. Each individual has a right to know what laws are being passed and how those laws affect their lives. It would be against the interests of all, to vote on any bill that is not fully understood.

  • I will only introduce or support legislation that can be voted on by line item. There are too many additions being applied to bills that increase pork spending damaging good bills and making bad bills more attractive. I promise to fight against pork spending and additions to bills that are unnecessary.

  • I promise to serve only two full terms. I will introduce legislation for term limits on both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. The proposed legislation seeks to impose two full term limits for those seeking office in the United States Senate, twelve years of public service, with exceptions for special elections. For those seeking office in the House of Representatives, the limit would be four full terms, eight years of public service, with exceptions for special elections. Regardless of the outcome of the legislation, I will promise to serve tenure as your public servant based upon these guidelines in hopes of setting a precedent. It is imperative that the American people are allowed to have fresh ideas, values, and passions being represented.

  • I promise to take a portion of the salary provided to the office of United States Senate, and donate to various charities and non-profit organizations throughout the state of Alabama because I believe in the importance of giving back to the community in which I reside. Alabama has provided me with many opportunities and advancements over the years including education, health, and a sense of purpose and it is my passion to give back where possible to the best of my ability. It is important to recognize the institutions of this state and everything they do for the local communities through outreach and community service. With a portion of the salary I will be donating, I will establish a scholarship program to allow those who want to further their education and do not have the ability to do so. Every child has the right to continuing their pursuit of knowledge and quality education and to have access to resources allowing the continuation of their dreams and passions. It is my hope and desire that by establishing a scholarship program, future generations will have the ability to reach for the stars and have the opportunity to better themselves.

  • I promise to be approachable whenever possible to the constituents I serve.  If contacted, I promise I will respond personally and will not hide behind canned responses. The citizens of Alabama are providing me with the privilege of serving you and being your voice in Washington, D.C. It is an honor to serve your interests and to understand each concern personally and will be a priority of mine to ensure your voice is heard. We cannot bring change to Washington alone and must work together as one to accomplish the goals set in front of us. I care deeply about the prosperity and the longevity of this nation and it is not a path to walk alone.

  • I promise not to take any funds from special interests groups. I do not have a problem speaking to lobbyists who want to make their case on issues that affect the citizens of the state and this nation. They must present facts and understand that I will engage in appropriate discourse to find quality resolutions that benefit all. I represent the PEOPLE of Alabama and money cannot sway my integrity or my passion to do what is right for those I serve. I promise I will discuss issues openly and honestly and seek resolutions that benefit all.

  • I promise to fight for the financial future of Alabama, the United States of America, and all the citizens who reside within these borders. Our national debt is over 20 trillion dollars and continues to rise with each passing moment. Washington D.C. cannot continue to operate in a manner that will cause the collapse of a nation. Spending has to be reigned in and the budget must be balanced. I will seek to introduce and/or support legislation to audit the Federal Reserve and work with members of both parties to structure a working plan to bring fiscal responsibility to this great nation. It is not enough to cut the debt; we must also shrink the deficit.

  • I promise to fight for the working men and women of Alabama and the United States of America.  The middle-income families are our strength, prosperity, backbone, and future of this country. I will fight for tax reform that benefits all and helps lead growth back to our small businesses and eases the burden they shoulder to operate and create jobs.

With this contract to the people of Alabama and the United States of America, I humbly ask you, my fellow citizens of Alabama, the great honor, responsibility, and privilege of representing your ideals, values, and passions as your next Senator.  I promise to fully and dutifully work for you and champion the needs of the people at all times. You will have a voice in Washington that asks the questions to the issues you hold dear.

God bless Alabama.

God bless the United States of America.
